Stony Brook Pediatrics is a university-based academic program anchored at Stony Brook Children's Hospital, the first and only children's hospital in Suffolk County, serving a regional population of over 1.5-2 million and functioning as the area's Level III NICU, Level I Pediatric Trauma Center, and referral site for 30 pediatric subspecialties including oncology, cardiology, and an inpatient psychiatric unit.
