Cedars-Sinai Guerin Children's is a newly launched pediatric residency embedded in a tertiary/quaternary academic pediatric center in Los Angeles, offering trainees exposure to the full acuity spectrum from routine primary care to highly complex chronic disease. The clinical training network deliberately pairs the resource-rich Cedars-Sinai main campus with safety-net sites (Saban Community Clinic, Harbor-UCLA Medical Center) serving predominantly uninsured and underinsured populations, giving residents a dual exposure to tertiary subspecialty medicine and underserved community pediatrics. The program sits within a large research infrastructure (100+ labs, dedicated pediatrics-affiliated investigators) and emphasizes an individualized curriculum, positioning itself for residents pursuing varied paths including research, advocacy, and subspecialty fellowship.
