Cincinnati Children's is a large, top-tier freestanding academic pediatric program situated within a hospital ranked among the nation's elite for both clinical care (top-15+ U.S. News) and NIH-funded research (No. 3 among children's hospitals), giving residents access to a full spectrum of general and highly complex tertiary/quaternary referral cases drawn regionally, nationally, and internationally. The program explicitly trains residents for both academic/community practice and subspecialty fellowship, with structured opportunities in research, quality improvement, advocacy, global health, and medical education layered onto strong continuity clinics and broad elective flexibility.
