Goryeb Children's Hospital-Atlantic Health is a community-based children's hospital with university-level infrastructure, functioning as the regional pediatric referral and Level I/II trauma center for northwest NJ, with a 34-bed inpatient unit, 44-bed Level III NICU, PICU, and dedicated pediatric ED serving a linguistically and socioeconomically diverse catchment of over 1,200 square miles. Its academic affiliation with Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University, mandatory longitudinal scholarly activity through the GAPS mentorship program, and named tracks (Global Child Health certificate, Medical Education track) signal an intentional blend of community clinical exposure with academic scaffolding.
