Kent Hospital/Brown University is an academic community-based internal medicine program at a 359-bed teaching hospital in central Rhode Island, offering Brown University affiliation without the tertiary-academic intensity of a flagship university hospital. The curriculum is organized around two named tracks—Population Health (focused on ACOs, social determinants of health, community-based organizations, and value-based care) and Clinician Educator (developing teaching skills and curricular projects)—alongside required scholarly work (research or QI with poster presentation) and a structured simulation/POCUS ultrasound curriculum.
