This is an independent academic community program that blends Level I trauma/tertiary complexity at St. Vincent Medical Center with routine community general surgery exposure at St. Anne Hospital, supplemented by a transplant rotation at University Hospitals Cleveland. The five-year, three-residents-per-year program offers specialty exposure across vascular, pediatric, trauma, cardiothoracic, minimally invasive/robotic and bariatric surgery, structured around the ACS SCORE curriculum, monthly M&M and journal club, and a dedicated academic research coordinator supporting the ACGME-required scholarly activity component.
