Program Identity & Fit

This is a small, community-based internal medicine residency at Stillwater Medical, affiliated with Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences and serving as a regional referral center for north-central Oklahoma. The program emphasizes resident autonomy in an open-ICU setting, with select rotations at the OKC VA and University of Oklahoma that provide indirect exposure to university fellowship programs and specialization opportunities. Research and scholarly activity are encouraged and supported through a designated Director of Research, but the program's core identity centers on producing confident, hands-on general internists and hospitalists rather than driving subspecialty academic careers.
