Ascension St. Vincent is a community-based, mission-driven Internal Medicine residency situated within an 800-bed tertiary/quaternary Level-I trauma referral hospital that serves both the immediate Indianapolis area and rural referral patients across the state, giving residents high-acuity, high-complexity exposure alongside a large general medicine population. The program's defining structural feature is its 4+1 scheduling model paired with an extensive menu of named tracks (Primary Care, Hospitalist, Clinician Educator, Global Health, POCUS, PSQI, Women's Health) allowing individualized preparation for divergent career paths, from a uniquely Indiana-specific Primary Care Track to fellowship-focused electives.
