When ERAS opens, the first day you can submit, when programs start reading, and every 2027 Match deadline in one place. Each date comes from the AAMC, the NRMP or ECFMG, and the source is named next to it.

ERAS opens, 9 a.m. ET. You can start filling in MyERAS.
Sept 2, 2026
First day to submit applications to programs, 9 a.m. ET.
Sept 23, 2026
Programs can start reviewing applications and MSPEs, 9 a.m. ET.
Mar 19, 2027
Match Day. Results available to applicants at 12 p.m. ET.
When is ERAS due?
ERAS has no single application deadline. Each program sets its own. The 2027 ERAS season closes on May 31, 2027, at 5 p.m. ET.
Programs cannot open any application before September 23, 2026, and most begin reviewing from that day. That is why applicants usually submit in September.

Times are Eastern Time. The NRMP lists dates up to March 3 in EST and dates from March 15 in EDT.
Three dates every IMG should mark
June 24, 2026: get your ERAS token
IMGs get the token from ECFMG, not from their medical school. You cannot register in MyERAS without it. See ERAS Token 2027.
September 2, 2026: first day to submit
Have your documents, letters and USMLE transcript assigned before this date. See ERAS for IMGs.
March 3, 2027: ECFMG verification deadline
The NRMP sets this as the last day for IMG applicants to meet ECFMG verification requirements for the Match. It is also the rank order list deadline.
