This is a long-standing, tertiary academic vascular surgery program embedded within the Montefiore Einstein system, spanning three distinct clinical sites—Moses Campus (high-acuity, large-volume tertiary center), Jack D. Weiler Hospital (academic hub adjacent to Einstein with dedicated research infrastructure), and Jacobi Medical Center (Level 1 trauma center providing emergency vascular exposure)—plus a high-throughput ambulatory surgical center at Hutchinson Campus. The program is structured to build progressive operative autonomy, with senior integrated residents functioning at a level comparable to fellows, and draws on a faculty with strong academic productivity and a track record of graduates becoming division chiefs and department chairs. Research is institutionally embedded through Einstein's NIH-funded infrastructure and 850+ clinical trials, though the emphasis described is on case volume, complex open and endovascular technique, and trauma/emergency vascular pathology rather than dedicated protected research time.
