The Leadership Preventive Medicine Residency (LPMR) at Dartmouth-Hitchcock is not a standalone residency but a two-year add-on training pathway completed concurrently with an existing clinical residency or fellowship at the institution, built around The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice (TDI). It confers an MPH from TDI alongside board eligibility in Preventive Medicine, centering training on quality improvement, population health, and leadership of change in healthcare systems rather than direct primary preventive medicine practice.
