This community-based OB-GYN program blends high clinical volume across a multi-site Chicago-area network with academic-style structured education, drawing on affiliations with Ascension hospitals, Advocate Christ Medical Center, and NorthShore/Evanston facilities to expose residents to varied community and safety-net populations. Continuity outpatient training occurs through two federally qualified health centers, reflecting a genuine underserved-care component alongside general obstetric and gynecologic training, MIGS, and robotic/laparoscopic surgical exposure. The resident roster is overwhelmingly generalist-oriented, with many stating explicit interest in rural medicine, family planning, reproductive advocacy, and community outreach rather than subspecialty fellowship tracks, though some residents pursue MFM, REI, or urogynecology interests.
