Scholarly activity (case report, QI, research, or EBM review) is a graduation requirement supported by an internal scholarly division, protected research time, and corporate PhD research staff, though this reflects structured mentorship of required output rather than a research-driven identity. Career outcomes split evenly across fellowship (40%, including placements at Mayo, Harvard, University of Michigan, MD Anderson), hospitalist practice (40%), and traditional generalist practice (20%), reflecting a program built to support any of these paths rather than push residents toward one.
