Mayo Clinic Florida's Internal Medicine Residency is an academic, tertiary/quaternary program built around a transplant center and NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center, offering high-acuity, complex pathology within Mayo's integrated enterprise-wide electronic medical record. The program is structured around extensive individualized elective time, allowing residents to build personalized three-year pathways spanning research, an optional Innovation Track culminating in a Certificate of Distinction, aerospace medicine, women's health, and community engagement rotations through local safety-net sites (Sulzbacher Center, Volunteers in Medicine, Duval County Health Department).
