HonorHealth Four Peaks is a community-based, ACGME-accredited internal medicine program housed in a 178-bed hospital in Mesa, AZ, with its primary training site supplemented by rotations at Banner University Medical Center Phoenix and an outpatient HonorHealth clinic, giving residents both community and quaternary-level exposure. The program's stated aim is to produce broadly competent internists prepared for either community/rural practice or subspecialty fellowship, reflecting a generalist, practice-ready orientation rather than a research-first identity. Faculty are predominantly DO-trained community physicians, and the curriculum emphasizes comprehensive core internal medicine exposure (wards, ICU, EM, women's health, and the full range of subspecialty rotations) rather than named research tracks or protected scholarly time.
