A university residency in which each resident joins one of three health centers and carries a patient panel there for all three years: Barre Family Health Center serving a rural community 40 minutes outside Worcester, Hahnemann Family Health Center serving an urban socioeconomically diverse population, and Family Health Center of Worcester, a federally qualified health center serving an ethnically diverse underserved population. Training uses individualized learning maps and adaptable elective and Preparing For Practice rotations. Faculty expertise spans hospital medicine, HIV and viral hepatitis, college health, perinatal care, sports medicine, legislative advocacy and healthcare administration.
