Program Identity & Fit

This is an unopposed, community-based family medicine residency in Jasper, Indiana, jointly sponsored by IU School of Medicine and Deaconess Memorial Medical Center, a faith-based 137-bed community hospital operated by the Sisters of the Little Company of Mary. The program explicitly orients residents toward full-scope rural and underserved family medicine, emphasizing social determinants of health, broad procedural exposure (OB, IUD placement, pediatrics, general surgery co-management), and a heavy elective load in PGY-3 (nine blocks) that lets residents tailor training toward their intended post-graduation practice.
