University at Buffalo Anesthesiology is a university-affiliated program built on a multi-hospital model spanning six distinct clinical sites—including a Level I trauma center, a freestanding pediatric hospital with high-risk obstetrics, an NCI-designated cancer center, a VA medical center, and a high-volume cardiac/neuro institute—giving residents broad exposure to specialized anesthetic subpopulations rather than a single university hospital experience.
