Texas Tech HSC Lubbock is a university-affiliated, four-year anesthesiology program (categorical internship plus CA1-3) centered at University Medical Center, a 495-bed Trauma One, tertiary referral hospital serving West Texas and Eastern New Mexico, with an in-house pain clinic rotation at Grace Clinic. The department is small and deliberately structured to give individualized attention, with a protected Friday didactic day free of OR duties—an unusual feature that supports scholarly work and national presentation.
