Program Identity & Fit

This is a university-affiliated, community-based Family Medicine residency built around a full-spectrum, inpatient-strong curriculum, with continuity clinic at WMed Health's Crosstown Parkway and inpatient training at Bronson Methodist Hospital, a community hospital. The program layers distinctive services onto core training—Street Medicine, a Pregnancy Care track with high-volume obstetrics and inductions, Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, Medically Managed Weight Loss, and PACE-based geriatric care—alongside a structured procedural and simulation curriculum (POCUS, suturing, dermatologic and MSK procedures). Graduate outcomes are overwhelmingly outpatient community Family Medicine practice, with occasional fellowships (addiction medicine, sports medicine, sleep medicine, surgical obstetrics) and rare academic placements, indicating the program prepares generalists first and specializes selectively.
