This is a community-based, unopposed family medicine residency (established 2017) at a Froedtert-MCW affiliated 202-bed community hospital, combining broad-scope inpatient and outpatient training with academic backing from a larger university health system. The program emphasizes broad-spectrum clinical competency across outpatient continuity care, hospital medicine, OB, pediatrics, geriatrics, and procedures, with a large elective catalog and four named tracks (Hospitalist, AIRE primary-care psychiatry, LGBTQ+ Health, Sports Medicine) allowing individualized career shaping. Career outcomes skew heavily toward direct community practice—outpatient primary care and hospitalist positions, many within the local Froedtert system—with occasional fellowships (geriatrics, urgent care, hospitalist) rather than a research-driven academic trajectory.
