McLaren Greater Lansing Family Medicine is a community-based, osteopathically-oriented program closely affiliated with Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, training residents primarily in ambulatory continuity clinic settings alongside inpatient rotations at McLaren Greater Lansing, Sparrow Hospital, and Helen DeVos Children's Hospital. The curriculum integrates osteopathic manipulative medicine throughout, offers heavy elective flexibility, and emphasizes daily hands-on procedural experience (joint injections, IUD placement, OMT, skin procedures) alongside community outreach initiatives like Spartan Street Medicine and Special Olympics involvement.
