Jefferson Health Northeast is a community-based, ACGME-accredited family medicine program anchored at Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, a 253-bed, level II trauma community hospital serving a socioeconomically and ethnically diverse mix of urban Philadelphia and surrounding suburban/rural Bucks County populations, including underinsured, unhoused, and recently resettled patients. The program's stated mission centers on resource-conscious, patient-centered care and addressing social determinants of health rather than subspecialty or academic prestige, with broad elective latitude (toxicology, global health, sports medicine, OMT, integrative medicine) allowing residents to shape training toward individualized career paths.
