UCSF Dermatology is a top-tier academic program anchored by a dedicated 2+2 physician-scientist track, an NIH T32-funded skin research training pipeline, and over 20 research faculty spanning cutaneous oncology, immunology/microbiome, genomics, and health policy/epidemiology, marking research as central to the program's identity rather than an adjunct offering.
