This is a high-volume, university-affiliated academic dermatology program based at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and MedStar Washington Hospital Center, two large tertiary referral centers (900+ and 609 beds respectively) supplemented by pediatric dermatology at Children's National Hospital and rotations at the NIH. Residents manage 100-150 outpatient cases and 25-30 inpatient consults weekly, offering unusually heavy inpatient consult exposure and broad pathology diversity, with structured training in dermatopathology, Mohs/procedural surgery, phototherapy, and patch testing.
